This will be your best defense against stains. You’ll want to blot the area with a towel or cloth afterwards to pick up any and all moisture leftover. Applying a mixture of white vinegar and water to a stain works best if the stain has set in because you weren’t at the crime scene at the time of the spill.
Plush
Just like with Berber carpets, you’ll want to keep mats outside of your doors to fight off 
everything your shoes track in. Plush carpets can actually be very easy to clean as long as they are maintained properly. The flat and even surface of Plush carpet makes for no-hassle stain removal and promotes a long life if, again, maintained properly.
